Our spicy cinnamon Rajah's Signature Chai goes perfectly with chocolate, so we turned it into a delectable chai-chocolate heaven. An exotic and spicy variation that will broaden your taste horizons and keep you coming back for more!
Ingredients (serves 2)
- 6 tsp Rajah's Signature Chai
- 10g cocoa powder
- 15g sugar
- 400ml whole milk or rice milk
- 10g dark chocolate
- 0.5 tsp ginger powder (optional)
- 100ml whipped cream or frothed milk
- 1tsp cocoa powder
- 2 star anise pods
Tip: Instead of whole milk, you can also use a milk alternative such as almond milk.
Mix the cocoa powder with sugar and add 4tbsp milk and stir until smooth.
Place 6 tsp Rajah's Signature Chai in a tea infuser and place in a pot with the 400ml milk.
Bring to a boil and then steep for 20 minutes.
Stir in the cocoa mixture and chocolate.
Heat the chai-infused milk again, stirring until it is just below the boiling point, whisk in the chocolate and cocoa powder mixture.
Whip 100ml cream until stiff or froth 100 ml milk. Pour the chai-infused milk into two glasses and top with the whipped cream or frothed milk.
Sprinkle with cocoa powder and decorate with a star anise pod.
